Kid's Rooms Makeovers, Part Two...

So, the nesting has taken on a life of it's own. Two nights ago I was frantic and determined to get as much done before my baby shower on Sunday as possible. I just had this vision of taking people up the stairs to show off the fabulous new rooms. It wasn't even up to me...I was being driven by a force greater than myself...hormones. Adam was the one who came through though, staying up MUCH later than I could handle and finishing CF's big boy room by himself. He is a rock star. It was so much fun to wake up on Sunday and show it to Charlie, who is so proud. My parents also came early and did the border in Mal's room. I can't imagine how bad I would have screwed it up! Thanks, Mom and Dad!

Mine and Charlie's fave poster...

Adam, being the comic book guy he is, took the poster project very seriously, explaining to me why Spiderman and Wolverine sometimes work together, and why there is a dinosaur in the Batcave. No, I am not going to explain it here. Phew!

Meanwhile, for the Princess...

I LOVE IT! We still need some furniture and things, but it's really perfect, and just what I wanted.
I am going to post a blog later about the amazing baby shower the girls threw for me on Sunday, but here are a couple of shots of the loot:

The shoes are important. Mallory will become, like all the children in our family, an innocent pawn in the GA vs. GA Tech war. These are for my Daddy, NOT my hubby. Adam will counter this gift soon, no doubt.

Also, today I recieved a very special package in the mail from my friend Melissa, who left our little town in search of the peace of the mountains. I miss her, but I don't think anyone could be happier than she is now. She is one of my very favorite people, and...she makes beautiful things! Look at the goodies she sent:

Yes, that is a pacifier on the elephant's trunk. Cutest thing ever!
Here is Charlie cuddling with his caterpiller friend in his BIG BOY BED (that he loves!)

Thanks, Melissa!
More pictures are on the way soon.
This has nothing to do with the subject matter of this post, but will someone tell the Bertolli people that this meal isn't enought for two people, unless one of those persons is still living in the other's womb.

The best part about ALL this decorating and ALL this stuff is this. Every day, when I walk out of my bedroom, this is what I will see:

My BABIES' rooms. Rooms that will house two little people for us to love and teach and cherish. It's more amazing than I ever thought it would be. :)

Oh Heather, they are DARLING!!! But why isn't there a large poster of you in CF's room? You are so the superhero. Way to go on all the decor. I plan to move in next week. It's just too cute!!!

The rooms look amazing! What a great view you have when you get up.
I agree about the "serving size" fiascos. We will polish off something that feeds 6 people by ourselves and still be hungry. Who are those six people who can manage to eat just a tablespoon of food per meal?
