Getting ready for the Big Day!

...no, not that one. I am ready to focus on things that are ACTUALLY happening around here. And the biggest one right now is the first day of preschool! I can't believe it's time. When we decided to send him, it seemed so far away that it wasn't a big deal. Now his Diego bookbag is packed with supplies, his cute new outfit is laid out, and Charlie is in bed, having just had Daddy read him The Berenstein Bears Go To School. (Yeah, I know it's not kindergarten, but we are really excited!) Today when we were explaining that Mommy and Daddy will leave him at school so he can play, and then we come right back, he looked a little more concerned that I had expected, so tomorrow could go either way. The school recommended that we not hang around TOO long after drop off because it usually just makes it worse. Adam really wants to take him, so I might let him go without me, even though I hate to miss it. I don't want to make it any harder. Although I might like to park outside for the 3 hours until time to pick him up! :)
I am definately going to take a ton of pictures in the morning, but for now, here are some of the pre-party.... Charlie playing in his room before bed. Wish my baby good luck!

Good Luck! If you feel like you are going to give in and run inside and get him, the way i will fell over Austin's first day of pre-school (Wednesday) you can call me and we can cry about it together and keep each other tough! It is so hard to let our babies turn into big boys! Let me know how it goes.

I agree - I'll be a basket-case when Grant goes to preschool for the first time!! And I'm not even going to think about kindergarten!

Good luck - he'll do great!!!! And just think of all the cool stuff he'll bring home to put on the fridge.. and all the special holidays and occasions that you and Adam will both get to be involved in!!! Exciting!!!

With a face like that and the personality to boot? He's going to be THE kid everyone wants to play with! I will be praying for you guys though... Max's first day was a real tough one for me.

xoxo

PS: feel free to call me while you're in the mini-van staking out the school, though. LOL

Pre-school?!?!? Pretty cool. He'll be just fine. I'm anxiously awaiting your other arrival. (I'm sure you are, too. It's HOT!)
